Join us on Saturday, May 30th from 1-5PM for a Youth Bouldering Competition!
With many different age categories and 24 problems to climb, there will be something for every age and ability. This is for both newer climbers to get a feel for the competitive climbing, and for seasoned youth athletes to have a chance to show off their skills on some incredible setting done by our Core team.
Age categories:
7 and under
Ages 8-10
Ages 11-13
Ages 14-16
Ages 17-19
The Details

​This will be a scramble comp, where all categories climb at the same time within a set time limit (from 1-5pm). A scramble comp allows participants to move around the gym freely, trying different problems at their own pace. Everyone who registers will receive a FREE Core sticker!

Frequently asked questions
What is a scramble comp?

Answer: A scramble comp, is a bouldering competition where everyone climbs at the same time within a set time limit. Unlike traditional competition formats, where climbers take turns on specific climbs, a scramble comp allows participants to move around the gym freely, trying different problems at their own pace.
How does scoring work?

Answer: To complete a climb, you must start on all four start points and have full control with both hands on the final hold.

You can take as many attempts as you need to complete a climb, but the more tries it takes, the fewer points you earn for that problem.

Harder climbs will always be worth more than easier climbs, even if they take you more attempts to complete.

After each completed climb, you will need a witness to sign your scorecard to indicate they saw you complete the climb.

At the end of the competition, hand in your scorecard to the front desk and the Core staff will take your six highest ranking climbs and add them together to create your final score.
How do prizes work?

Answer: There will be a variety of tiered prizes for each age group category. Winners will be announced by no later than 6:00PM on May 30th

Raffle Winners will be drawn at this time as well.

If you are not there to claim your prize - you will be called and/or emailed. We will attempt to contact you up to 2 weeks after our competition.
How many attempts do I get?

Answer: You can take as many attempts as you need to complete a climb, but the more tries it takes, the fewer points you earn for that problem.
How long do I have to compete?

Answer: You will have from 1-5pm to attempt as many of the 24 problems that you would like.
My child has a bday between now and May 30th - what age category do I sign up for?

Answer: Sign your youth up for the age category that they will be on May 30th, 2026.
Why is the pricing different?

Answer: Guest pricing is higher as it also includes a day pass.

Prizes are tiered by age category with higher value prizes awarded to the older categories​.

Rentals are not included.
What defines a membership?

Answer: ANY Core membership - EFT, Prepaid, Punch Pass.

Use of a Guest Pass does not count.
